Adkins is admiral of the Collie Club of Kentucky, broker of the Owensboro River City Kennel Club, and affiliate of the Collie Club of America and the Collie Health Foundation.
She doesn’t brand collies to sell. “My ambition is to advance the line,” Adkins said.
When she decides to sell, her dogs go as far abroad as Canada and California. A woman in Germany is on a cat-and-mouse account of folks who would like one of her champ’s puppies.
“I’ve met some of the best admirable bodies through accepting puppies,” Adkins said.
