SCHROON LAKE — Anita Marion Drozdyk, babe of Edwyn J. Johnson and Gladys W. Johnson, died aboriginal Tuesday morning, Aug. 29, 2017. She is survived and remembered with abundant adulation by six children, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, as able-bodied as many, abounding abundant friends.
Born in Queens on Oct. 17, 1932, she accelerating from Bayside High School in 1950 and went on to The Wood Secretarial School. She formed for the U.S. Postal Service for 19 years, best afresh as postmistress of the Schroon Lake Post Office from January 1993 to October 1998.
Her abounding borough activities included several decades as a affiliate and administrator of the Schroon Lake Association as carnality president, associates armchair and agnate secretary. An ardent beastly lover, she was actively complex with the North Country SPCA, volunteering, confined on the lath of directors, and as admiral for a year. She was abnormally appreciative of the awful acknowledged SPCA garden affair fundraisers that she helped organize. She was co-president of the Schroon Lake Arts Council for three years, served on the boondocks of Schroon Zoning Lath Appeals and was an elections ambassador for the Essex County Lath of Elections.
Memorial casework will be captivated at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 3 at the Community Church in Schroon Lake.
