Singer-songwriters Zach Williams and Lauren Daigle are the top artisan nominees for the 2017 Gospel Music Affiliation Dove Awards, which recognizes Christian music makers in array of genres.
The Nashville-based affiliation appear this year's nominees Wednesday morning with a alive video stream.
Williams and Daigle advance the backpack of nominated artists with bristles nominations each, admitting neither are up for the show's big award, Artisan of the Year. That category's nominees accommodate Chris Tomlin, For King & Country, Hillsong United, MercyMe and TobyMac.
Other top nominees include Tomlin, Crowder, Kirk Franklin and NEEDTOBREATHE. a And behind-the-scenes players are in for a big night, too: Writer/producer Wayne Haun has the best nominations overall, with six nods, followed by Bernie Herms and David Garcia with bristles each.
