I love to shop thrift stores for my growing family for not only clothes, household items etc. but for homeschool items.
Yes. Homeschool items.
I have found school supplies from crayons and markers to pencils, erasers, and sharpeners, rulers, notebooks, educational games as well as items such as little plain ceramic houses still in the cellophane, little blank wooden birdhouses, etc. that the children could paint, and even homeschool books from various homeschool suppliers among other things.
Whenever I go into a thrift store I scout out things that can be a great addition to our homeschool shelves that the children would enjoy using, playing, etc. Every now and then I find a great little surprise hiding on the shelves.
Recently I found a full Do-A-Dot Rainbow Art Set (Set of 6) that feel like they have never been used. They feel completely full. I only paid $2.49 for the set.
If you don’t know what Do a Dot Markers are, this is what they look like:
They look similar to what a bingo marker would look like.
There are numerous free printables to use with this too by doing a google search.
So don’t discount the thrift store for homeschool items. I have even found gardening items, tackle box, fishing poles, camp chairs and more. I love thrift stores!
