Sunday’s shouldn’t be the only day we are in the Word. We should be in the Word of God every day.
I admit that I am slack on my reading lately. I can tell it too. I get out of the word and my attitude changes. I am crankier, testier, grouchier, etc. I can tell and so can my family when I don’t get my reading and alone time with God in.
I’m being brutally honest here. I am a Christian but I am not perfect. No one on this earth is a perfect Christian nor perfect period.
Does reading the Bible make one a Christian? No.
Does praying make one a Christian? No.
Does going to church make one a Christian? No.
Then what makes one a Christian?
It’s the love and want to do those things because you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and accepted him as your Saviour. You’ll want to be in the Word. You’ll want to pray. You’ll want to go to church. No one is making you do those things by holding a gun to my head or threatening you. No you’ll want to do those things because you love the Lord Jesus Christ and have accepted him as your Saviour.
I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my Saviour and I love Him but I fail Him too. I am just an old sinner saved by grace. Do I still sin? Yes I do. I still live in a sinful world. I’m not perfect.
