Natural Living: Alternatives to Disposable Feminine Products

This post is to inform others that there is an alternative to disposable items.

My question is... Did you know there are alternatives to pads or tampons or have you thought about trying an alternative?
There are items on the market as alternatives to those.

Such as...
The Keeper A (After giving birth)
The Keeper B (Pre-Birth - before giving birth)

Those are meant to be washed and reused.

And there is a disposable version: Instead Softcups 12 Hour Feminine Protection,14 Count

I know in olden days before pads where invented, women used rags -- usually strips of cotton -- hence the name "glad rags".

And if you search the internet, you'll find small women owned sites that sell cloth style pads and pantiliners that can be washed and reused.

  1. My alternative would be re-useable cloth pads. I could make my own if I wanted and they are more comfortable. I find those cups to be...odd. I just couldn't bring myself to using one. >_<
