Holiday Sales & Buying Gifts for the Next Year’s events

The day after Christmas and a couple weeks following is when I starting watching stores for markdowns on holiday gifts, toys, etc.  I not only shop after Christmas sales but other holiday sales.

The after holiday sales is when I start buying presents for the next years’ birthdays, valentines day, anniversary, and yes… even Christmas for the next year.

I love those 50% off sale but the 75% and 90% off even better for the bigger the discount, the slimmer the selection is.

I not only buy gifts but sometimes by wrapping paper and bows too. I watch for wrapping paper that can be used for birthdays, etc.

I keep a box in my bedroom with these gifts for the next year.  Whenever a birthday comes up or a birthday party invite for a child, etc. I can just go into the box and find an appropriate gift at a fraction of the cost and also avoid a trip into town that take me 30 minutes to get there (more if there’s a cow out in the road or I get behind a tractor or a log truck).

So not only do I save money but I also save time by shopping in advance like this.
