Eating out can really dig into your wallet but with a little time and a a few keystrokes, you can save some money on your eating out expenses.
We don’t often get to eat out for free but we can get discounts here and there. Having a family our size sure can eat up that eating out budget quickly so we have to be selective as well as frugal. I’ve been known to hit up a few fast food places with free coupons I had to get us all something to eat… this is more easily done in an area that has restaurants in a row or very nearby like in a big city such as Chattanooga. We don’t go out to eat often but when we do, I like to make sure we don’t break the bank doing so.
So how do we do save money eating out or even eat out for free?
Well it’s simple really. Go to the websites for the restaurants in your area or of your choice and sign up for their emails. You will get a range of emails from free offers, money saving coupons, to just alerts about special promos.
There are actually a few freebies out there right now that you can enjoy yourself!
| Right now, for each new person signing up for Captain D’s emails, they will receive a welcome email that contains a coupon good for a FREE Fish & Fries or a FREE Chicken & Fries. When you register, you’ll be required to pick the Captain D’s restaurant you wish to visit. |
And remember if you are a senior citizen, Captain D's also has a menu with reduced prices for seniors!
| Join Arby’s Extras to receive emails from them about great promotions etc. and get an email that will entitle you to a free Arby’s Roast Burger sandwiches. I recently got my email and tried their Bacon and Bleu Roast Burger. It was soooo good!!! Thank you Arby’s!! | |
Wendy’s as well as Kentucky Fried Chicken have given away new sandwiches recently as well and/or has printable money saving coupons. So be sure to sign up for the email from restaurants in your area.
If you love Pizza, be sure to head on over to Little Caesars to print out a coupon for Crazy Bread/Sauce for $1.99!
| And don’t forget if you are a homeschooler, sign up for the Book It Program wherein your qualifying children will receive coupons that will entitle them to a free personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut once a month for about 6 or 7 months of the school year. This program for homeschoolers is the sister program to the public school’s Book It Program. They are currently accepting enrollment for the 2009-10 school year. Children ages 5-12 are eligible. |
| If you eat out often, you will want to make sure you sign up for emails too as many restaurants are jumping on the bandwagon with emails about specials, as well as including money saving coupons. So be sure to sign up for the emails from restaurants such as Ryan’s, O’Charley’s, and any others you have in your area. |
|
Even signing up for the emails or joining the little clubs such as Build-A-Bear and Toys R Us, will get your child a free coupon for their birthday which can be redeemed for a small item in the store usually free of charge.
