Yesterday was the "official" start of the Hwy 127 Yard Sale that goes from Gadsen, AL then through TN and up into KY.
You can find many good deals, antiques if you're into those, and lots of other stuff.
We live near a section of the yard sale route and every year there are people sitting yard sales up on the byroads leading over the mountain to this particular section.
I had run into town today to go to the bank and pick up a few things so I stopped at a couple of yard sales as I went down the mountain and came back up.
I found a few goodies:
a toddler toilet seat (replaces the one we had to toss out after years of use ... lasted us almost 6 years --- $1
2 pairs of new navy slacks size 8 - $2 total
a white Queen size bed ruffle -- welcome to my new cotton slip LOL already has a pretty lace like border that I'll use as the hem for my slip -- $1 (Just call me Scarlett)
2 green clasp lid jars- $2 total. I love this kind of jars for storing things in barley, flax seed, beans, etc.
and the big deal goodie.... an Atlas Pasta Maker with one attachment -- $20 He had $40 on it and asked if he would take less and he cut the price in half. WOOHOO! This is the same brand of noodle maker that is in the Lehman's Catalog for $49.95 Attachment for it are $19.95. So I think I got a pretty good deal. :D
Yesterday when we took the trash off with the use of our neighbor's truck, I stopped at one yard sale and bought 2 fabric remnants for $1.50 total... one is pink with little flowers and the other is a red plaid... will use for the girls.

Enjoy your Atlas - I bought my pasta maker from Lehmans on a clearance table and I have really enjoyed using it! We like the ravioli attachment - best investment!
