 | We all love keepsakes for our babies. I still have little dresses put up in the cedar chest that belonged to my oldest daughter who is now 20 years old. My mother not only saved a few of my dresses but also a couple of pairs of baby shoes. Back 40 years ago, the only way to preserve the shoes were bronzing them and that's what my mother did. There wasn't a way of putting the child's name on the shoes except for writing the name on the sole of the shoes. Let me tell you, writing the name on the sole of the shoe does not last forever. This past March, my brothers, sister and I got together at our parents' house to clean the house out and distribute the personal property amongst us. Both of our names begin with the letters "La" and each of our names have five letters, so that made it even harder. We just guessed and hoped for the best.
