In Stores August 12, 2008

( Los Angeles , CA ) – First Look Studios proudly announces the DVD release of FRANK. Written by Robin Bradford and directed by Douglas Cheney, FRANK follows the story of a mangy mutt and how he brought a troubled family closer together. The DVD streets on August 12, 2008 at an SRP of $19.98.

When a family retreats to their summer cabin, they hope the idyllic lakeside setting will wash away their petty squabbles and day-to-day worries. But before the coals on the first campfire are cool, their world is turned upside down when their son stumbles upon the creature “terrorizing” the locals — a big, drooling, lovable mutt, FRANK. Much to Dad’s (Jon Gries, Napoleon Dynamite) dismay, Frank may eat his lunch or slobber on his important project, but it is Frank who saves the day and reminds their teenage daughter and rambunctious 9-year-old son that family vacations are about being together and loving one another.

  17. I could kick myself that we did not take advantage of the free movie Tuesdays in our area this summer! Otherwise, we can't afford to take 5 children to movies! I did hear great things about Nim's Island. Thanks for the giveaway!

  18. I honestly havn't been to the movie theater at all this summer. We do have a theater in the town next to us that offers free movies, but I have yet to make it.

I think the last movie I saw in the theaters was, 'Horton Hears a Who'. I thought it was really cute, but I like the book better.

  19. I've managed to see one movie in the theater this summer- Harold & Kumar. Not exactly what I'd call a family film but hey- I certainly felt closer to my daughter after having a date night break. I was in a much more cheerful than usual mood when I cleaned her nappy the next morning.

  22. We wanted to see Wall E but we ended up seeing Mamma Mia! I don't think Mamma Mia was extremely family appropriate as it was highly suggestive and... but the music was fun.

I'm sure Wall E will be at the top of our rental queue when it's released!

We saw Narnia's Prince Caspian at the beginning of the summer. C.S. Lewis is a genius, and so are the producers of this film. This movie was soooo worth it.
