Gardening Report:
- Friday - no gardening work just waiting for harvest to come in and DH's and My anniversary - we went on a date... stopped at the Co-op for one (heehee country couples anniversary!) and bought 30 tomato stakes
- Saturday - sprinkles of rain off and on all day
- Sunday - rest
- Monday - sprinkles of rain off and on all day so we didn't turn the sprinklers on
- Tuesday - sprinkles of rain off and on but we still ended up having to water the gardens as the full rain never came.
- Wednesday - watered gardens
- Thursday - watered gardens, picked beans, okra, tomatoes, peppers, picked peaches and figs
Harvesting Records for the week:
- 2 eggs
- 11 okra pods
- 19 slicing tomatoes
- 6 cherry tomatoes
- 4 onions
- 3 radishes
- 2 roma tomatoes that the migrant workers tossed out by the road near our home. They tossed them because they were fully ripe.. nothing wrong with them. They are to pick them green or just slightly ripe. Then they get shipped to where they get gassed then shipped on to the stores. Now you know why the "store" tomatoes never tasted like real tomatoes from a garden. LOL
- 4 gypsy peppers
- 1 jalapeno
- 1 cowhorn peppers
- 1 cayenne pepper
- 5 peaches
- 5 figs
- 1 cup of grapes from our vines
- 1 gallon basket of green beans
- 4 green onions
