Take our blogs for instance. We, as bloggers, are sometimes called up to review a product. What our reviews are is basically online word of mouth about a company and their product. Our readers are perusing our reviews and deciding whether or not they wish to try out said product themselves. I've had readers email asking me more information about a product as well as leaving comments. Those are good things for companies because it's getting their product name out there. These companies know that too and are tapping into the world of bloggers more and more.
Now back to the book at hand...
The book is broken down into three (3) major topics. They are:
- What You Should Know (In Theory) which takes a look at word of mouth campaigning
- What You Probably Know Already (Unless You Don't) is a section of answers regarding word of mouth advertising... yes there's some negativity when it comes to word of mouth advertising... just as a customer is happy about a product or service and tells other, so is someone who may not be so happy
- What You Must Know (In Practice) is a section that goes into the word of mouth advertising world a little more and gives you pointers
