Not EVEN Funny! I hope they unlock me soon. I submitted my request and it said it could take up to four (4 !!!) days to unlock me.
I'm trying to post this through Windows Live Writer, so not sure it will come through.
All this work to share contests and stuff and this happens. Crazy!
UPDATE: The Windows Live Writer will let me post so that's good to know. That means there will be no interruption in my daily contest roundup I post for y'all.. my readers.

Update: I can't post anymore at all now. Not even with Live Writer.

You would think that they would go chase the REAL spam blogs. Another reason why we should all boycott Google.

Laura, I had that happen to me and it got resolved pretty quickly, but...I wasn't locked out! I just had to type in a code verification before I posted.
Man, that is just wrong! And what about all of us contest junkies out here who depend on you! What the heck is wrong with Google!
Hopefully they will get this resolved soon or we are going to have to storm the castle and kick butt and take names!

I suspect you may have been flagged because you publish text which appears to be duplicated on other sites.
I don't know what their specific policies are regarding what is allowed or not, but this is one of the things that can trigger a red flag.
Without finding specific posts on your site, my impression is that you publish some excerpts from books, interview segments, etc. that are published in paid postings on multiple sites. Hopefully appealing it will result in your blog getting fully reinstated. After that you may just have to enter in a code each time you post to verify that you are not a spambot.
Oh, I would be livid! That happened to a friend of mine, too, though, probably because she named her family after herbs, and they probably thought she was selling stuff.

I had issues with AOL mail for the same thing - and I send out about 10 e-mails a week. It is so frustrating to be marked as spam, but I think it's hard for them to really know and hence they caution on the side that creates issues like this.

Someone reported you to blogger. It sucks, but they usually unlock them pretty quickly when they see it is a regularly updated blog.
Laura i am so sorry you have an awesome site... let them see it they should see that. Perhaps someone accidently hit spam... i know i did that once by accident totally and was told there was nothing i could do about it... thats why they should have a button to remove or check if a person is sure it was spam... pray this gets straightened out for you soon. cathy b

How frustrating to have your hands tied. It really is awful how innocent blogs are targeted over these things when real spammers get away with it. Good luck and hope to see you back soon.

The exact same thing happened to me about a month ago. Luckily, they only took a day or so to unlock it - but it totally sucks that they can just shut us down indefinitely because some idiot clicked the "flag" toggle at the top of our page!

At least they actually do something about blogs that are just spam. But I wonder who (or why) someone sent in a complaint about you. I don't see this as a splog, not even close.
