Please tell me I am not the only one that when it rains you sort of dread it. Don't get me wrong. I love that we get rain. We need it. But there are times (like today), that rain just doesn't suit us. It has been raining since Sunday morning and my children are going stir crazy. I am playing referee more than I need to with them. They are arguing, antsy, grouchy and thus making me grouchy. I can't send them out because we all know what happens when a mud puddle is near the vicinity of my children.

I am loving the cold and snow, but am wondering how long my enjoyment of it will last. I've never lived anywhere cold, so maybe I'm about to experience my first ever Winter Blues?
ReplyDeleteYeah, some days rain can be cozy and relaxing, but if it keeps raining for too long it can get just plain annoying/frustrating.
ReplyDeleteAww...just let them go out and play in the mud puddle! That's the great thing about being a kid! You actually enjoy that sort of thing (of course, didn't you say yesterday that you guys were on the sick side?) If so, playing in the puddles isn't a good idea.
ReplyDeleteSo, bring out the inside stuff. Have them make some Christmas cards or do some Christmas decorating or just enjoy and watch some Christmas movies.
Hope life is less grouchy at your home soon!
Laura, I've been back three times to look at that pic of your kids (and once to show Ian ;) ) -- not awesome fun cleaning them up FOR SURE (how did you get them to the tub without tracking it all in???) but OH what an adorable shot you got! You must have scrapped it...where's the layout? I wanna see!
ReplyDeleteI thought the picture was made in photoshop, not a real picture. *lol* That's a classic. I love it.
