REVIEW & GIVEAWAY: Skin MD Natural

THIS CONTEST HAS ENDED!

Winner is announced! see this post I have a few winners to announce!

When I was contacted to review this lotion, I was ecstatic because I get very dry skin on my hands and elbows in the winter. My feet are pretty much the arid desert all year round.

Oh I've tried many of the lotions on the market, but not have seem to do the trick. They also leave my hands feeling greasy. I would literally have to wash my hands because it was so irritating to feel like I had been slimed.

This lotion doesn't leave my hands, nor my feet for that matter, feeling like I've been slimed. The wonderful natural scent is refreshing as well. No perfumey smell to gag me or makes me sneeze. That two factors alone is a huge plus in my book.

I have been using this lotion for a week now. I've been applying it to my feet and hands daily since it arrived on October 17th. I can honestly say that I have seen a great improvement. My skin feels softer on my hands and my feet are still dry in some spots but overall, they are looking and feeling better.

Here is what the company has to say about this lotion:

Conventional moisturizing lotions only attempt to replace a lack of natural moisture with artificial moisture but the problem is it comes off every time you wash or touch something.

Until now, all one could do to alleviate a dry skin problem was to apply conventional moisturizing lotions. In order for any moisture to actually improve a dry skin condition it needs to get below the second major layer of skin. In reality the only moisture that is going to reach this level is your skin's own natural moisture.

Have you ever stopped using artificial moisturizers only to experience an episode in which your skin actually became drier than it was before you started using them?

When you apply any artificial moisture to the skin's surface you are often sending the wrong signal - that your skin is being adequately moisturized, when in fact it is actually dehydrated of natural moisture. This often results in reducing your skin's production of the natural moisture needed to actually resolve a dry skin condition.

Unlike artificial moisturizers, Skin MD Natural bonds with the outer most layer of skin cells to turn it into what works like an invisible shield.

This "invisible shield" keeps moisture-robbing irritants out while helping to retain your skin's own natural moisture, resulting in skin that is far better hydrated, over the long term, than what can be achieved by conventional lotions.

Check out this video on YouTube. It shows Skin MD Natural shielding lotion protecting skin from rock-dissolving acid!

I usually have cracked and bleeding nuckle all winter. And winter lasts a long time up here in New England. I would love to find something that really works. If I could only take the oil from my face and put in on my hands, that might work ;)

Now my hubby would love this and so would I. Since I no longer have the time nor funds to spend at a nail salon getting my toes done, he gives me a hard time about how dry my feet are. So maybe if I win I can get my feet back into "Spa" condition without all the money. Thanks for offering a great giveaway. Hmmm...I wonder if I can convince him to put it on for me and maybe rub it in for 5-10 minutes. wink wink. God Bless.

This sounds great, just in time for dry winter! I hadn't heard that explanation for why artificial moisturizers don't work, but it makes sense.

It does sound good. I’m an artist and find that the oils and solvents I use are always drying my hands out and leaving them dry, cracked and sore. This sounds great, especially as it’s non greasy and lasts so long. It seems to be getting some good press too and is worth checking out - Skin MD Natural in the UK. It uses a new advanced scientific proprietary formulation which, apparently, has a moisturizing factor 6 times greater than glycerin, the standard humectant (water absorber) against which all others are measured. It is a shielding lotion which bonds to the skin to keep the irritants out, moisture in and protects the skin in a way a normal moisturizer can’t. Well worth a look.
