| Understanding the World of Earthbound Spirits by Mary Ann Winkowski Grand Central Publishing (2007) |
Do I believe in ghosts? Well, I do believe in that there are spirits among us... good and evil. I have to admit that I am little unnerved thinking about such things though. Whom am I to say that there are or are not ghosts among us. I was a little hesitant to read this book because of the above and because I've had some weird things happen to me over the years, but I read it and can say that well it is a little believable as well as unbelievable. Am I a skeptic? Yes and no.
This book is inevitably going to raise some hackles with some people. You may or may not agree with everything the author has to say. You probably will cock one eyebrow up with doubt. She relates to her life work with details of the encounters that she has had in seeing, talking to, as well as helping ghosts or as she refers to them earthbound spirits to go into the light. She relates that she has helped law enforcement agencies to solve crimes, as well as help families with their deceased loved ones estates. There are a few photos in the book that leaves one with questions.
After reading the book, do I believe in ghosts? Like I said before, I do believe there are spirits among us... good and evil. We'll leave it at that.
I want to apologize that I wasn't able to get this review up before this past Friday in time for the contest that Hachette Book Group was hosting that would give the winner a one hour consultation with the author. It ended Friday, October 26th. Please accept my humble apologies.

I don't believe in ghosts, per se. Not the kind you see on "haunting" shows. I'm sure there are things we don't know, but spirits of dead relatives aren't walking around, rattling chains ;)

YES I DO BELIEVE IN ''GHOST''. excatly what they are i am still undecided.i have seen them, heard them and had lights turn on and off in rooms, with no one there.i have had dishes fly across a room ,how? i am not sure..a lot of these things happened when others were present...i have heard children in yard and 1 child was calling for mommy.....ok...do i think that when we die,we are out there continually searching for ''mommie''? a loved one? no....i am a spiritual person that believes that when we die, there is a heaven if we believe in jesus..do i think jesus would allow children to go around hunting mommy? NO! how horrible that would be....SO,,what are they then? demons, moments in time that some people are more suseptable to see and hear? when i figure that out,i'll let you know..lol..but yes there is definately something there in this''invisable realm''..
thatns for a really ''spooky'' contest that a lot of folks are interested in finding out about.
hope i win i would love to read her ideas...happy november

I'm not sure if I believe in ghost.
I've never experienced anything ghost related so I don't know..lol
The book sounds interesting.
Would love to win it.
Thanks
I absolutely believe in "ghosts". I think some people's spirits kind of hang around - especially those who die tragically. I don't quite understand how it all works because it seems to go against what I believe happens when you die, goes against what I have read in scripture - quite possibly I am missing something there.
And if you want to think me totally weird, I see them sometimes. Always have.
I would love to read this book to learn more.

I'm with you...I certainly believe that there are spirits among us. I don't know if I would call them ghosts, but I certainly do believe that others can reach us from 'beyond' this life.
Hello, Do I believe in ghosts? I believe in spirits who have not been able to cross over to the light. They have unfinished business that they think needs to be taken care of. Sometime, I feel their death was so traumatic, they don't understand that they are dead. Please enter me in your contest. Thanks, Cindi
